Two Opel GT's Left For Dead | 1972 Opel GT | A Turnin Rust Extra

Wesley gets a lead on two 1972 Opel GT's that have been abandoned for over 30 years.

Join the crew, as we head out to get a better look at these Opel GT's, and see if we can save them from sitting in a field for another 30 years.

I had a 1973 Opel GT, bought it brand new for $4400! Bright blue, last year they made them. Wish I still had it!

I like how you don’t skip the negotiation. That is one of my favorite things to do. Why not go back and pick up that Pinto Runabout. I had one back in the day that would lay rubber then chirp in the first two gears. Then give me 40mpg.☮️

Fake. Look at the drag marks in the sand as they first walk out to it. It was placed out there before filming... lol

There is nothing in the world that is more satisfying then pulling a totally fucked up turd down a dirt road on a rusty chain with a high powered tractor. Trust me boys, nothing better.

My first new car was a 1975 (German) Opel Manta. 1900cc 4 cyl, 4 speed Borg-Warner transmission. Great car. Better than 20 mpg. Once took it up to 120 mph on a long straightaway. Needed regular tuning of the carburetor, but the shop manual was really comprehensive and there wasn't anything that couldn't be fixed. Probably would have run a long time but for the careless driver that plowed into it while stopped at a red light one summer day in 1976.
